Portfolio of Works

My husband and I collect old vehicles. Our love of them inspired me to paint them. Each vehicle has its own personality. I did research on car companies and discovered the wonderful old hood ornaments that were statements to the world about that vehicle. They were works of art,  the perfect accessory.

My favorite thing to paint is chrome . It is all about what’s reflecting in it. When whole time I’m painting chrome, My mind is thinking , “This isn’t right. This isn’t right.” Then I step back and look at it and say, “yes it is!”

My landscapes tell the story of living in Texas. Most were done en plein air (French term for painting outside from life) .

“What is it?” He asked. “It’s nothing.” I lied . “It’s an abstract.”

Abstract: the perfect combination of shapes and colors that stirs your soul.
Now that’s an abstract !

As a Realtor and a renovator of homes, I always love architecture, especially exceptional architecture so it was a natural thing to paint homes, buildings , and artistic features of architecture .

We rescued this kitten that we named Pepe. He entertains us with his weird personality.

He is black and white and looks like he belongs in our home.  I had to paint him!

Painting something up close connects me to it . My favorite still life paintings are where the focal point is realistic and surrounding it is abstracted .
